Margaritaville Ambassador of the Month: Meet Emily

What is your name? Emily

What school do you go to? James Madison University

What is your major? Hospitality Management

Tell us a little bit about yourself… I am from Northern Virginia and currently a junior at JMU. In my free time I like to hang with friends, go hiking, skiing, or any type of outdoor adventure. I love going to the beach in the summer and listening to Jimmy Buffett songs!

How did you find out about Margaritaville University? My best friend Mallory, also a MargU Ambassador at Virginia Tech, introduced me to Margaritaville and Margaritaville University!

What is your favorite tropical destination? Anywhere with a beach and adventures to go along with it.

Would you rather explore the tropics by boat or sea plane? Boat with a glass bottom so you can see beneath you and also jump in the water to swim!

If you could visit any Margaritaville hotel or resort, where would you go? If I could visit any Margaritaville Resort I would pick Margaritaville Resort Belize. I have never been snorkeling or scuba diving and this beautiful location is close to the Belize Barrier Reef and the Great Blue Hole which provide endless opportunities for adventure.

What is your favorite Jimmy lyric? “Wastin’ away again in Margaritaville”… A classic!

What is your first Margaritaville memory? I always heard of Margaritaville as a kid growing up but my first real memory of Margaritaville was last summer I went to my first Jimmy Buffett concert with my same friend Mallory who introduced me to the laid-back lifestyle.

Describe the Margaritaville experience in three words. “Life is good today”

Why is Margaritaville and its values something that needs to be shared? People get so caught up in life that often times they forget to stop and look around to appreciate the little things. Margaritaville represents enjoying the simple things in life by proving you can make the best out of anything and have fun doing it!

What pieces of Margaritaville resonate with college students the most? College students just want to have fun and chill which is exactly what Margaritaville represents, a relaxing state of mind.
