A new eagle has joined our phlock!

The Margaritaville Eagle’s island makeover for the Veterans Count Eagle Parade is complete! Now through early December, you can see our eagle perched at Margaritaville Mohegan Sun. The winning design, submitted by Alice Gober of Hueytown, Ala., was brought to life by Cathy Meyer, a graphic designer from Southern New Hampshire.

The Margaritaville Eagle will be auctioned off on December 7th, and all proceeds will go directly to providing emergency funds and services to veterans, service members and their families.  Anybody interested in bidding on the eagle can click here.

Last year, the Margaritaville Eagle earned the highest bid, raising more than $12,000 for Veterans Count! When you participate in the 2017 S.O.S. Eagle Parade, you’ll feel good knowing that 90 cents of every dollar we raise will go directly to providing emergency funds and services to New Hampshire military families.

How did the Eagle Parade start? 
In 2016, the Seacoast Chapter of Veterans Count hosted an Eagle Parade, and selected the American bald eagle as its sculpture of choice. The bald eagle was chosen for its majestic beauty, great strength and long life. This year, the Manchester Chapter will be hosting an Eagle Parade. The Veterans Count organization believes this is a perfect statement for a public art project to raise funds for their local veterans, service members, and their families.
