Margaritaville at the Park: Reds and Astros

Margaritaville had another big weekend on the diamond with events in Cincinnati and Houston!

Days after Jimmy Buffett’s historical 50th show in Cincinnati at Riverbend, the Margaritaville state of mind took over Great American Ballpark on Friday night.

With a promo team in island attire, an exclusive parrot bobblehead giveaway and a postgame fireworks show set to Jimmy’s music, every fan in attendance had their fins to the left and right field.

And while the Reds fell to the Nats, 5-0, Zack Cozart finally got his donkey.

Can you guess what song kicked off the fireworks show?

And while Jimmy was taking the stage in Chicago, the Houston Astros had a tropical ballpark party of their own at Minute Maid Park. Hundreds of parrot heads came out to listen to a pregame performance by Jerry Diaz and Hanna’s Reef, collect their Margarirtaville-inspired Astros shirt, and raise money for The Angelman Syndrome Foundation.

Despite a home run by All-Star Jose Altuve, the Astros lost 4-2 to the Minnesota Twins.

The Margaritaville baseball tour continues this weekend with Tampa Bay Rays:
