Margaritaville at the Park: Chicago White Sox

Two weeks after Jimmy Buffett took over Wrigley Field, it was Fins Up on the South Side of Chicago for Margaritaville Night with the Chicago White Sox. Leis, grass skirts, island music and vacation vibes took over Guaranteed Rate Field and complemented the warm, sunny evening. And, 1,000 lucky fans brought home an exclusive Margaritaville-inspired White Sox hat.

Despite a late-inning rally led by Kevan Smith, the Toronto Blue Jays held on for an 8-4 victory.

Coming up on the Margaritaville baseball tour is a pregame block party with the Cleveland Indians on August 25th.  Any game ticket for that evening gets you access to the party with live music, giveaways and contests.

The Washington Nationals are also planning their Margaritaville Night at the Park, so stay tuned for the September date and all the details!

And for those of you who call the Chicago area home, even more Margaritaville is coming your way this fall when Escape to Margaritaville opens at the Oriental Theater on November 9th! Escape to Margaritaville is the musical comedy getaway featuring both original songs and your most-loved Buffett classics, including “Come Monday,” “Volcano,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and many more.

Imagine a place where the sun is hot, the water’s warm, and the drinks are as cold as they are plentiful. Welcome to Margaritaville, the island paradise where city folk get away from it all, and the locals get into the kind of trouble you can almost always sweet talk your way out of. Take a break from your troubles, make some new friends at the bar, and kick back to the soothing sounds of the kettledrum. It doesn’t get much better than this. All you need now is a ticket.
