The couple, who hails from Lindenhurst, NY, went on their first date six years ago. “This is our Christmas,” the bride said of their commitment to catching Buffett shows. “We wait all year for this.” But this year was extra special, thanks to the wedding, which  incorporated Karen and Chris’s two favorite things — Jimmy Buffett and the New York Mets© — into one glorious theme.

In true Buffett fan fashion, leis were passed around  before the ceremony, and after the fun-loving couple exchanged vows Chris shouted, “Let’s party!” And party they did. (Did we mention these are Parrotheads?) The reception lasted from noon, with friends manning the grill, until Jimmy took the stage at 8pm.

So what are these two most looking forward to about married life? “The tax break,” joked Karen. Hey, if a sense of humor is the key to a long marriage, this couple is in it for the long haul. Cheers!
