Hello! My name is Victoria Futrell and this is my first semester as a Margaritaville College Ambassador! Throughout the semester I will check in with you here to talk about my ambassador adventures and coastal comfort life.

I’m a senior at the College of Charleston in South Carolina. I study architectural preservation and marketing, hence my love for social media management, graphic & interior design and blogging. In my spare time you can find me SUP boarding, eating acai bowls, doing yoga, or exploring the beach. Oh yeah, and did I mention that I’m a major Parrothead too? I play Buffett on my ukulele quite often, love boat drinks, and will forever be chasing the sun.

I’ve been living the Margaritaville lifestyle since before I was born. Both of my parents are sailors at heart, and our one particular harbor is all the way up in Cleveland, Ohio. I grew up listening to Jimmy Buffett and similar artists, while basically living on our boat and soaking up the Cleveland sunshine (but mostly snowflakes). Needless to say I’ve got an old soul at heart with a passion for relaxation and positive vibes. It took me as far as Palm Beach, Florida for my first two years of college before finally settling in right between downtown Charleston and Folly Beach, South Carolina.

As all of my regular blog followers would tell you, sometimes my passion for graphic design, branding, and blogging can get a little intense, but its my Margaritaville mindset that keeps me sane. Having the opportunity to be a Margaritaville Ambassador on my campus is an amazing opportunity to grow even more as an individual and a professional, while seeing the world through the eyes of all my new Margaritaville friends. This company and their faithful fans have kept me passionate about life and down to earth in a world of craziness and rush hours. To me, Margaritaville is more than just a song, restaurant, or resort. It’s cherishing the good times with family and friends, keeping life simple, and changing attitudes down in the Carolina sunshine.
