Be the DJ with Radio Margaritaville’s “Fruitcakes on the Radio!” Meet Bruce.

This week’s Radio Margaritaville Guest DJ is Bruce Lane of Kent, Washington:

“Oddly enough, I didn’t discover Jimmy’s music until fairly late in life. If I had to point to one single song which got me hooked, it’d have to be ‘Far Side of the World.’ I could really relate, since I’d spent many years traveling all over the USA, Mexico and Canada, visiting as many different zoos, oceanariums and wildlife parks as I could get to. I still travel, though not as much. At this point in Life’s journey, I tend to favor quality over quantity.

“While not exactly the ‘Far Side of the World’ per se, I made plenty of friends along the way, human and otherwise. Here’s a photo of me with ‘Mojave,’ a young red-tail hawk, to prove it. This was taken at the Victoria Highland Games and Celtic Festival, May 2017.

“I still can’t figure out whether Mo was trying to tell me I’d had too much sun, or he hadn’t gotten enough. Happy travels, no matter what (or who) is covering your head!”

Enjoy Dina’s show, which features songs such as “Growin’ Older But Not Up,” “Pacing the Cage (from Beach House on the Moon),” “Savannah fare you well (from Far Side of the World),” “Tonight I just need my guitar (from Far Side of the World),” “Colour of the Sun (from Songs from St. Somewhere),” starting tonight, July 5 at 11pm ET/8pm PT.

You can also listen again this Friday at 9am ET, Sunday at 11pm ET and Monday at 9pm ET on SiriusXM’s Radio Margaritaville Ch. 24 AND here:
