Margaritaville University ambassadors celebrated Jimmy Buffett Day with a Day of Service alongside Margaritaville’s brand- wide effort to give back. Take a look at how some of our ambassadors kept the party going while both celebrating Jimmy’s legacy and positively impacting their communities…
“My Day of Service event was a relief event raising funds for those impacted by Hurricane Beryl. After living in Grenada for the last three years and seeing the destruction on both the island of Grenada and her sister island of Carriacou this July, I knew I needed to find a way to give back to this community. This event was held at a local establishment that was kind enough to donate a portion of all margaritas sold towards the relief efforts. I also received donations to be added into the raffle from 10 local businesses. When the night was done, we had 179 entries into the raffles and a lot of foot traffic sharing the Margaritaville State of Mind!”

“Headin’ up to Bay City, MI! What better time and place to celebrate Jimmy Buffett Day and have a dedicated Day of Service in his honor, than a concert at a marina on Labor Day weekend. Sailors and friends gathered together to celebrate a summer well spent with live music and dancing at sunset along the Saginaw River. Wheelers Landing Yacht Harbor “partied with a purpose” by supporting the cause of the Saginaw Basin Land Conservancy, an organization dedicated to protecting land forever and providing stewardship assistance all over the Saginaw Bay Watershed. Donations were collected for the organization accompanied with a raffle and giveaway of Margaritaville items such as sunglasses, flags, a beach chair, and more. It was a great way to give back to our community and keep the party going!”

“Jimmy surely did love dogs and his love for them continues to show! Golden Retrievers In Need (GRIN) gathered at HiHo Brewing in Cuyahogs Falls, Ohio for a dog-friendly Barks and Brews event. To celebrate our Day of Service, giveaway prizes and a Frozen Concoction Maker were sent to support the efforts of GRIN. GRIN has been rescuing golden retrievers for over 30 years and in that time has rescued over 4,500 dogs. For more information about Barks and Brews and GRIN, visit www.grinrescue.org.”

Last but certainly not least, Emily from University of Tampa chose to support the Humane Society of Tampa Bay in a Day of Service by raffling off MargU items in exchange for donations. Not only was she able to donate food, towels, treats and more, but some lucky pets got their very own Margaritaville pet toys!
