The Italia Burger, winner of this year’s National Hamburger Month challenge, was created by Shannon Campbell, chef at Margaritaville Las Vegas.  Margaritaville and LandShark Bar & Grill chef’s across the country submitted their burger favorite recipes, with Shannon’s Italia Burger emerging as the top vote getter on social media. The Italia Burger is only available in May and features two juicy beef patties loaded with caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, Arugula and roasted red pepper aioli topped with a garlic butter glazed brioche bun.

 
“I chose the Italia Burger because a celebrity chef instructor I once had told me to read a recipe a night.  I have followed that philosophy over the years and these items really stuck out with me.”  Shannon, a graduate of culinary school, has been part of the Margaritaville family for two years and has a bright future in paradise. “After years of working in kitchens, I’ve found people truly enjoy eating their favorite flavors in new, fun ways.”
