A new outdoor escape is taking shape in the Golden Isles, with RV sites, cozy casitas, and laid-back adventures anticipated for 2028.

Camp Margaritaville Resort Golden Isles is officially taking shape in Brunswick, Georgia following its October 28, 2026 groundbreaking. With construction underway and completion anticipated in early 2028, the property  will bring a fresh way to stay and play along the Georgia coast.

Set across 54 acres, this outdoor escape will pair the natural beauty of the Golden Isles with the mornings by the lake, afternoons floating along a lazy river, and evenings gathering around a fire pit with your favorite people.

Your RV, Your Casita, Your Kind of Getaway

Every great getaway starts with a place to settle in. At Camp Margaritaville Resort Golden Isles, travelers will have two ways to make themselves at home: 285 planned premium RV sites and 55 casitas.

For RV travelers, the property will offer a new stop to build a coastal road trip around. For guests arriving with a suitcase and a vacation state of mind, a cozy casita will provide a welcoming place to recharge between adventures.

Lake Days and Lazy River Afternoons

Some days call for a little adventure. Others call for a leisurely float. Here, there will be room for both.

Planned amenities include a lazy river and resort-style pool, along with a six-acre lake for kayaking. Guests can look forward to paddling across the water, cooling off with a swim, or letting the afternoon unfold one trip around the lazy river at a time.

Back on land, pickleball courts and a putting course will invite a little friendly competition. A lively clubhouse will serve as a central gathering place, with an arcade adding to the fun. As the sun goes down, fire pits will offer a place to settle in and swap stories from the day.

Four-legged family members will have their own ways to enjoy the escape, too, with dedicated dog parks and dog wash stations among the planned amenities.

A Taste of the Camp Margaritaville State of Mind

Good food and good company belong on the itinerary.

The resort’s planned dining lineup includes Fins Up Bar & Grill, Joe Merchant’s Coffee & Provisions, and the Chill Bar. From a morning coffee stop to a meal shared after a day of exploring, these signature spots will bring island-inspired flavors with a side of vacation state of mind.

A New Home Base for Georgia Adventures

Located at 7350 Highway 99 in Brunswick, directly off Interstate 95, Camp Margaritaville Resort Golden Isles will put coastal exploring within easy reach. St. Simons Island is approximately 25 minutes away, giving guests another way to spend a day discovering the area before returning to their RV or casita.

Whether the plan is a stay filled with resort activities or a mix of pool time and outdoor outings, the location will make it easy to create a getaway that moves at your pace.

Breaking Ground on More Good Times

The groundbreaking marks an exciting step toward bringing this new outdoor destination to life. For future guests, the vision is easy to picture: a place to spend more time outdoors, reconnect with favorite people, and make room for a little everyday escapism.
