Over the holiday weekend I found myself looking over pictures from 2016 and compiling favorite trips and travel memories when it hit me…I really can’t wait to go back to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg! It was the very best trip I took all year. Unfortunately recent forest fires have changed some of the landscape but it remains a vital place for family vacations and so I thought it might be good to draw a little attention to one of my favorite mountain spots.

The Margaritaville Island Resort was spared in the fires and remained open – and a new location was just announced in Gatlinburg TN for late 2018 ensuring that the area will continue to thrive. If you’ve been thinking about a mountain escape, below you’ll find a quick one minute video overview that will give you a taste including personal photos and videos of me, my fiancée, and my soon to be step-kids spending time in the mountains together.
