Smoochin’ and Splashin’ with Dolphins

Sure, the occasional zoo will allow you to interact with dolphins . . . in a swimming pool. But actually swimming with bottlenose dolphins in the ocean on a Caribbean island? For that, you have to go to the Dolphin Academy, in the town of Willemstad, Curaçao. Let us repeat. Dolphin Academy!

To be clear, this is not the place dolphins go to get their PHD. This is where you get to hang out with them, and we leave it to you to check out all the options. If you want to scuba dive in the ocean with experienced divers, among coral reef and numerous fish and sea animals (including dolphins), you can talk that over with the academy.  

Of course, there are also trainers who guide you through every step of the way. It isn’t like a guy at a gate will hand you a ticket, and then you just wander out into a lagoon and look for dolphins. Your trainers will show you how to properly pet and kiss a dolphin (no frenching)!

How could you resist swimming with these playful, silly creatures? We definitely can’t!
