Margaritaville Ambassador of the month: Meet Kacee

What is your name? Kacee

What school do you go to? North Dakota State University (Go Bison!)

What is your major? Hospitality and Tourism Management with a minor in Business Administration.

Tell us a little bit about yourself… Well, as you all know my name is Kacee! I’m 20 years old and a student at North Dakota State University. As I am graduating in May, I always get asked what I want to do with my life and one day I aspire to be a wedding planner (somewhere warm of course). I would love to help people create one of their happiest moments of their life. My cat Chester is my best friend and if I could hang out with him 24/7 I would. You can either catch me at my local coffee shop or cruising around the lake with my closest friends. Wherever you find me though, you’re bound to see a huge smile on my face.

What is your favorite tropical destination? St. John in the US Virgin Islands because it is the home of my favorite beach, Cinnamon Bay!

What is your favorite Margaritaville University product? I would probably have to say the grey crewneck sweatshirt! It helps me have that Caribbean attitude up in this northern latitude.

Barefoot or Flip Flops? As much as flip flops are my go-to shoe, I would much rather be barefoot. There’s no better feeling on your feet than sand slipping in between your toes or freshly cut grass covering your feet. Is it summertime yet?

How did you find out about Margaritaville University? My dad is Parrot Heads In Paradise, Inc.’s Midwest regional communicator, and his friend’s daughter is also a fellow Margaritaville University ambassador and had/has nothing but incredible things to say about the program.

What is your favorite Jimmy lyric? Such a hard question because how do you pick only one? Yet, if I had to pick one it would be “Mother, mother ocean, I have heard you call. Wanted to sail upon your waters since I was three feet tall. You’ve seen it all, you’ve seen it all.”

If you could visit any Margaritaville Resort or Hotel- where would you go? I’ve never been to any of the properties yet… crazy, right? This Christmas though, I surprised my dad with a father/daughter vacation in the spring at the Margaritaville Island Hotel in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Honestly, I could not be more excited to go, and can’t wait to share my experience with y’all.

If you could spend a day with Jimmy Buffett, what would you do? Just thinking about this question makes me so jittery. We’d probably spend the day sipping on boat drinks (non- alcoholic for me, of course) and talking about how he has maintained the perfect Margaritaville state of mind his whole life while creating the music that we all love today. Also, I can’t forget about getting some cheeseburgers in paradise for lunch!

How does Margaritaville show up in everyday life? Margaritaville is all around us whether we realize it or not. Living in cold Fargo, ND, I tend to notice it in a warm cup of coffee or smiles on campus when it finally reaches 30°F outside and we are all strutting around in shorts and tee shirts. Margaritaville as we all know is so much more than a place, but rather an oasis found throughout our days in the smallest of ways.

Would you rather explore the tropics by boat or sea plane? Definitely by boat! My family and I took a catamaran on my 16th birthday from the US Virgin Islands to the British Virgin Islands, and to this day it is one of my fondest memories. I highly recommend taking a boat on the ocean if you ever get the opportunity.

What is your favorite memory of Margaritaville University? Honestly, as cheesy as this is, my favorite memory is looking through everyone’s pictures each month and reading everyone’s post about how they are keeping in the Marg U state of mind. Each and every one of you are so talented and creative and I wish I could meet every one of y’all!
